**64-IN-1 CLASSIC PLAYER - ARCHIVE.ORG RELEASE**

Sixty-four hacks in one!

The 64-in-1 "Classic Player" is a multicart featuring a collection of brand-new ROM hacks for dozens of Famicom/NES games. Designed to resemble the bootleg "plug & play" Famiclones, this compilation includes titles based on the video game greats, games featuring some cutesy Japanese icons, and many games that are just plain weird...

This multicart's menu system is hacked from the "Game Prince RS-1" handheld. Due to being built off of the Game Prince architecture, this ROM is based on OneBus VT02 (mapper 256) hardware; as a result, it is likely incompatible with an original NES. For best results, emulate the game with FCEUX (version 2.6.2 or higher), in which it runs perfectly.

Some games borrow code from fan-made compatibility hacks; these include the Gyromite "Special Edition" by The Jabu for Sleepwalking and [Secret Game 3], and several MMC3 conversions by various hackers.

For this archive.org release, I have included the individual, single-game ROMs for each game included in the multicart (along with some extras). I have also included the development repositories for several of the games, and the RS-1 menu itself; including my own hacking notes, graphic sketchpads, and other little tidbits.


== EMULATION NOTE ==
The Classic Player was previously compatible with the FCEUX emulator, being fully supported by version 2.6.2; however, it is incompatible with subsequent FCEUX versions released from version 2.6.5 (?) onward. This appears to be due to an oversight with how FCEUX reads NES 2.0 headers, and is not an issue with the Classic Player ROM itself. As a stopgap solution, a copy of the compatible FCEUX 2.6.2 has been included in this directory.
